ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Jules
I’m a traveller and content creator from Canada. My passion for travel started with a high school trip to Iceland (shout out to teenage me for climbing glaciers and chasing waterfalls). Since then, I’ve solo travelled twice across Europe and spent an entire year living and studying in Germany (where I got to travel even more!)
So far, I’ve travelled to 29 countries, each one providing me with incredible memories and cool country pins (everyone’s got that ONE thing they collect, this is mine).
The goal of this blog is to document my travels, provide recommendations, and share my favourite tips and tricks I’ve learned over the course of my adventures!
Thanks for stopping by!

My Travel Favs:
Bags
I travel almost exclusively with my 36 L Osprey bag. It fits perfectly as a carry-on and can endure trips lasting multiple months. I use my Uniqlo shoulder bag as my personal item - it always carries more than I expect! Finally, a cutesy tote bag packed away for grocery trips and for when I (inevitably) overpack my backpack.
Ways to get around
You'll always catch me either walking or using public transportation. My rule of thumb: if the walk is less than 45 minutes and safe, I'm doing it. Yes, with my backpack too! Navigating public transportation is one my favourite things to do when I arrive in a new city. Once I get it all figured out, the feeling is like no other!
Shoes
I aim to bring only two pairs of shoes: running shoes for walking/everyday and a pair of sandals for the beach and to use as shower shoes. Currently, I wear New Balance 530 running shoes and Teva Original sandals. The 530s are incredibly comfy - I've worn them for 30k+ step days without being too sore. My Tevas are also super comfy and versatile.
